My client, who was downsizing, wanted a ‘traditional’style and to incorporate some existing dark wood furniture and sofa/chair. The client also wanted a fireplace, although there was not an existing chimney or flue.

The room was very cold and had no soul! Being a small room, colours were carefully chosen so as to make the room look bigger and at the same time give it some warmth. A small extending table and chairs was sourced to ensure room for the fireplace and the mdf banister was replaced by solid pine giving the room more warmth and a spacious look.
